Privatization of water
Water. It's essential to our survival, and some predict it will be a commodity that private companies will try to control.
Nestle CEO Peter Brabeck has been quoted as saying water is not a human right and should be managed by corporations. He claims this will help sustain the planet and its resources. Or let's just call it what it is - a way to control a necessity that leads to billions and billions of dollars in the pockets of corporations. Here's some news for CEOs who believe that they can monopolize and control the water supply - at some point people will revolt against this kind of approach because they will realize that this is the most ludicrous justification of water conservation that's ever been proposed. Yes, we need to be smarter about how we conserve water but we also need to strive for clean water for all people on this planet. Corporations simply don't have the same goals in mind.
